My name is Alejandro. Im from Argentina.
Im studying physics and i like to shoot pictures, and a bunch of other stuff.
I am also taking a photography course in a school of photography here in La Plata. Its nice.

I also updated my journal. Right now.

I`ve added a signature and border to all my pictures.

I thought it would be very cool to add my pictures a little something. The idea came to me, because of the print ratio. You see, in the labs, some of the custom sizes crop the picture in the sides, so i`ve added a black border, so that there is no cropping (but the image is a bit smaller).
Thats when i though "hmmm, i could get some signature or something there".
Lucklily i`ve got to do it for me. I dont know wether if its well placed or if you like it. To me its a little something (hope it doesn`t distracts too much) to make the picture a bit more personal.

What do you think? Is it too strong? Bad placed? Ugly? Like it?

I´ve started the photography course. Once a week, 2 hours. Was very exciting. Lots of people pulling out many cameras, all with the same interest. Some seem to know a lot, others don´t seem to have a clue. Hope it gets fun.

Really cool to have some guy with a projector showing pictures and analizing them.
Hope i learn some stuff. But i must remember that anyone can OPERATE a camera, the thing is getting photos worth looking.

Okay, enough chit chat. Im going to sign in a photography course during a few months.
If im going to keep doing this, i´ll make a bigger effort and study a bit of it.
Internet, is just not good enough for this.

Ill be around and tell you how im i doing.

For a few days i`ve been unravelling my head trying to come up with ideas for 2 contests. "Crush" and "One is the loneliest number". However chatting with some friends and reading some comments on photograph of much more skilled people made me realize that i didn`t knew what i was shooting. I mean, yeah, i know what 1/60s is... i know how to throw light so it will do backlightning, shadow, etc. I can do stuff with PS or lightroom. So i shoot hundreds of pictures (It`s digital, who cares right?) and from those hundreds i only finded 10-15 well focused, well lighted (?) and nice to see pictures. However... they were`t ART.
Most of those i kept because they were pictures of my family or friends and meant something to me BECAUSE of that. Is not that you would say, "what a lovely human in such an intresting pose" besides its my friend. But otherwise.
I wasn`t able to find something intresting by itself. Hope that when my girl/model comes around, that is tomorrow , the two of us come up with something.

Also the KIT lens ain`t helping. But i guess its more than enough to get an idea.
